Georgia Tech Drupal Site Drupal 8 Upgrade Status

I've migrated about 97% of the content, with just a few small sections left.  Along the way, I've cleaned everything up, done a lot of reorganization (especially in the Editor's section, which I'd not worked on before), and made a few improvements along the way, such as:

  • Implemented (and did my best to follow) an Editorial Guide to have better consistency of information presentation throughout the guidebook.

  • Applied proper Accessibility guidelines to all content.

  • Moved all Mercury Content into a single Mercury News and Events section of the handbook for easy reference and simplified maintenance of all pages relating to Mercury

  • Removed all references to deprecated modules and versions of the GT Theme before 2.5

  • Removed most references to Drupal 6 other than in the context of upgrading Drupal 6 sites to Drupal 7

  • Added a Drupal Version taxonomy field for each handbook page

  • Cleaned out the Tags taxonomy, removing all duplicates and unnecessary tags

  • Made Handboook Categories, Drupal Version Categories, and Tags visible on all book pages, so that users can utilize that information to quickly tell how and if a page applies to your particular need.  (Perfect for when you've used a search function to locate a page and thus don't know where it fits within the guidebook)

  • Dropped the Wiki Article content type and made all book pages Book pages (makes the Book interface work a lot more intuitively.

Let me know if you discover anything that isn't working properly.
