This section contains tips on how to install Drupal from scratch, how to apply routine point release updates, and how to migrate between major version of Drupal. Please be cautious in using any of the information provided here in conjunction with upgrading or migrating a production Drupal site: always make backups of your live production site first, so that if anything goes wrong, you can revert back to the old version of the site.
